Performance as a part of Kulturmødet Mors programme
As part of the Kulturmødet Mors 2026 programme, two performances that could previously be experienced at the Toaster Performance Biennale earlier this year will be presented.
Adam Christensen is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves freely between performance, music, and textile installations. In his work, the boundaries between everyday life and fiction, and between the documentary and the staged, dissolve.
Christensen concludes Generator’s programme on Friday evening, setting the stage for everything that has been brought to the surface over the previous two days to find a new way forward.
A central focus of Christensen’s practice is the construction and representation of space—not merely as physical surroundings, but as carriers of the narratives that unfold around heartbreak, desire, memory, and identity. Christensen creates his own kind of stage, from which he interacts directly with the audience while continuously reshaping the narrative as it unfolds.
He often sings to the accompaniment of an accordion and reads short stories aloud. It is a constantly evolving process in which no performance is identical to the previous one, and where the audience witnesses a story taking shape in the present moment.
Adam Christensen’s performance is presented at Generator in collaboration with Toaster, a platform for performance art. Toaster is a collaboration between Den Frie and Husets Teater.
