Three young people are about to clean up the warehouse of a theater after a fire. As they clean up, they try to make sense of the various sets and props that have been more or less rendered unrecognizable by the fire. During the work, they begin to fantasize on the plays that have taken place in the theater and create new images and stories from the charred remains. They are looking for a narrative in which they can reflect themselves. Meanwhile, they navigate their own existential crises, tangled identities and the world’s critical state.
Rehearsal Days are co-produced by Toaster and Rundetaarn and supported by Statens Kunstfond, Ny Carlsberg Fondet, Augustinus Fonden, Knud Højgaards Fond and København Kommunes Scenekunstudvalg.
