Open call: TOASTER BIENNALE 2026
TOASTER is launching an ambitious new performance biennial that will unfold simultaneously at both Husets Teater and Den Frie Udstillingsbygning. This recurring event, taking place every two years, aims to present a dynamic mix of Danish and international performances, establishing Copenhagen as a vital stage on the global performance art map.
The inaugural edition will run from April 16 to May 3, 2026.
We are currently seeking guest performances to be part of the program. (Note: Only previously produced works are eligible. We are not accepting proposals for new productions.)
APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
– A short project description (max. 2,400 characters)
– CVs (max. one page per person)
– An overview of previous and upcoming collaborations/venues
– Fee
– Technical rider
– Links to video trailers and full documentation
– 2–3 high-resolution photos with full credits
