Workshop with Maria Metsalu
In collaboration with the Danish Performing Arts School Efter- & Uddannelse, Billedkunstskolen and Liveart Danmark
Experience Maria Metsalu's work "Kultuur" and gain insight into her artistic choices, expressions and working methods on this 3-hour workshop.
In the performance Kultuur Maria Metsalu processes the discomfort of being subject to the forces of nature and our conflicting desires to both live a simple life and one of maximum pleasure and consumption.
The workshop is based on seven existential questions that not only explore Maria Metsalu’s individual working method and expression, but also invite you to reflect on your own creative processes:
- Which methods do you use in your work?
- How do you come up with ideas for projects?
- What kind of experiments do you do in your process?
- How do you generate material?
- What inspires your work?
- How do you decide what material to use from your experiments?
- What criteria do you use to select your material?
