Messias i Nat

MESSIAS I NAT is a newly-written oratorio based loosely on Handel’s classic 1741 masterpiece MESSIAH. In this contemporary, forceful and hopeful interpretation, four classical vocalists engage in dialogue with Handel’s Messiah and its mesmerizing message of the coming of salvation. The work intones despair over the state of the world, yet leaves us with a daring hope: The Messiah will never come. We must be the Messiah and change everything now, tonight.

MESSIAS I NAT premiered at Husets Teater in December 2018 and was nominated for the Special Award of the Year at the 2019 Reumert (Danish Theater) Awards.
