A megalomaniac staging of a city over 6 months
In a total staging of Copenhagen, fix+foxy, together with TOASTER, embarks on uncovering the dynamics and structures of the state. THE STATE is a series of episodes unfolding across Copenhagen from January to June 2025. In each episode, you move through a new part of the state and encounter people you might not even have known existed.
In one episode, you show up at an apartment in Nordvest, in another, you drive through the city in a taxi, and in a third, you might find yourself underground. All episodes can be experienced independently – but there is a connection, of which you are already a part.
Subscriptions will be released in December 2024, allowing you to book access to all episodes over the course of the half-year season. Welcome to THE STATE.
fix+foxy has been producing theater for over a decade – in both classic theater formats, audio performances, and digital formats. Their work is driven by curiosity and a desire to produce complex narratives through playful, entertaining, and accessible formats, all while challenging prejudices, preconceived notions, and misunderstandings we have about each other and the world around us.
fix+foxy addresses the times we live in by involving the audience and telling stories about the people who shape our society. They invite people onto the stage who are rarely presented or represented in the performing arts because they believe they can make a difference when people meet face to face.
In 2022, fix+foxy’s artistic director and founder Tue Biering received the Crown Prince Couple’s Culture Award.
